MT. ELBRUS |
"It was the most stupendous trip. Of
the various Elbrus trips I looked at it was the most varied and this
is absolutely the right policy. After the first week we were not
only much fitter, but had had such a wonderful time that if we had
failed to get up Elbrus for some reason, it would not have been the
end of the world."
Mr. M.W. Plackett
London |
"The high points were
the scenery, camping in remote mountain areas, summit ascents. I
enjoyed the two nights camping on the moraine above the hut. Wild,
windy nights - great! Gia, our guide, and his assistants were
excellent; they were patient, organised and looked after everyone
very well."
Mark Elliot

"This was the first time I had ever
undertaken a holiday of this nature:
1) I'd love to do something similar again.
2) I would have no hesitation in not only using Sherpa again, but
also in recommending you to anyone else.
3) Extremely enjoyable overall."
Nigel Stott |
"The attitude and competence of the
guides is something to be commended, i.e. their professionalism and
friendliness."
Ian Morris

"An extremely well
organised holiday. Everything went as smoothly as possible with the
end result being a fantastic two week trip which I'll find hard to
follow."
Dave Bendle |
"The tour guides for the
cities (Moscow and St. Petersburg) were absolutely excellent. The
trek leader in the Baksan Valley was friendly, competent and very
professional."

"An excellent trek. I went up and,
more importantly, got down the mountains I would never have
attempted without the confidence and humour that Piotr encourages in
the group. The organisation on trek, too, was so good that it was
almost invisible."
Susan Binney |
"I should like to
congratulate you on this tour. It was strenuous but exciting and
enjoyable."
Mr. and Mrs. Maggs |
"I thoroughly enjoyed my
recent holiday in the Pyrenees. A considerable contribution to the
success of the trip was the quality of your two leaders."

"The first 8 days from Calenzana to
Vizzavona were superb, with the Cirque de la Solitude and the Capu
Tafanatu especially standing out"
Bernard James

"Excellent group leader,
who despite having a group of very mixed ability and attitudes and
expectations made a supreme effort to ensure everybody's needs were
catered for. Nobody was left behind, a very flexible attitude."

"I would like to take this
opportunity to make a special mention of your representative
Jeanette Chattaway. Her support guidance and general demeanour
throughout the holiday was excellent. I would regard her as the
ideal representative / courier for this type of holiday. The first
night welcome meal she prepared was first class. She provided and
excellent variety of fresh food for breakfast and packed lunches and
was always on hand to give advice and assistance. Please pass on to
her my sincere thanks for making this a very enjoyable and memorial
holiday."
Mr. A. Broadbent
Huddersfield |
"It was a quite
magnificent holiday; the whole principle of having ones baggage
transported enables one to enjoy this most beautiful route so much
more. The choice among the many possible routes and hotels was
obviously difficult but we think that you go it about
right."
Dr. J.F. Andrews

" I would like to say that we
thoroughly enjoyed the trip - wonderful scenery, great walking,
sociable but independent, self guiding is definitely our preferred
choice. The walking notes were easy to follow - the description
generally very good and the difficulty as we expected."

"a very enjoyable trip. Michalus
Vassiliou is an excellent guide. The high point was the scramble to
the top of Mount Olympus."

" Another great trip -
Spiros is probably the best guide yet and the accommodation was much
more comfortable than I would have expected."

"Well here we are just back from the
Mgoun and trying to readjust to what passes for normal life at home.
We had a wonderful time, I tried filling in your feedback form, but
I think it says a great deal that I have already phoned to enquire
about the Jebel Sahro for next year."
Kay Walmsley
Boreham Wood |
"The Moroccan back up
was superb, they made brilliant travelling companions, good
conversation, good food and great music in the evening. The U.K.
guide was marvellous - friendly, informative, organised. He managed
to create special moments most days; tea in a village house, a visit
to a local festival up the valley or buying a sheep for the evening
meal...The complete culture change that we were immersed in, -
fantastic."
Omar Pena

"The high points of the tour were
Cappadocia, visiting caves, high Camp and Summit, mountain scenery,
tour leader Otto was excellent, visiting Istanbul... An excellent
well organised trip everything ran to plan, the trip was made by a
first rate tour leader who could not do enough for us. Give him a
pay rise to buy a new pair of boots and a T - shirt!"

guides. Jon in particular was a real asset, we all enjoyed him and
benefited from his presence."

" The high points were
being in such a remote and beautiful place and getting back to
basics."
Ms. R. Law

"The high points were the scenery,
the standard of food on trek and the excellent leadership of Jon
Millen and Omar, the Berber guide. The muleteers were very good
to."
Mick Sparrow

"A rather belated thank you for our
Christmas in Jbel Sahro. It was a magnificent holiday, not
necessarily to most people's taste I grant - waking up to ice on the
inside of the tent is not how most people opt to spend their
Christmas - but we loved it."
